·         White onion a small segment
·         Burger buns or large baps
·         Sweet potatoes
·         Olive oil
·         Cheese
·         Optional: coleslaw

Burgers
  1. The amount of mince you choose to use is dependent on how many burgers you will be making to make one double cheese burger you will need approximately 1 cup of beef mince.
  2. Start by washing your beef mince with cold water and draining. (Tip: use a sieve to wash your beef mince)
  3. You will then need to crack your egg into a bowl and whisk, Dice up your spring onion and red pepper with a touch of olive oil and add this to your bowl.
  4. Add your mince to the bowl with your egg, pepper and onion and mix.
  5. To create your burgers you will need to scoop up some of your beef mince and molding it into a shape of a ball then slightly flatten it to recreate a beef burger.

Cooking
  1. Heat your pan with olive oil on a medium heat and when your frying pan is hot place your burgers into your pan and allow them to fry for 13-15 minutes each side. (If you desire well done leave your burgers to fry for longer)
  2. Tip: be careful when flipping if you flip your burgers too early they could lose shape.

Sweet potato fries
  1. Tip: These take on average about 20 minutes in the oven therefore you may want to put these in the oven before you start frying your beef burgers.
  2. Peel and wash your sweet potatoes and slice your potatoes into thin slices.
  3. Heat your oven to 200c and on a tray drizzle olive oil.
  4. Place your sweet potato fries onto your tray and place it in to your oven to cook for about 20-30 minutes.
  5. Remember: Turn your chips halfway allowing them to cook on each side.

Nearly finished
  1. Your burgers should be frying nicely about now. Once your burgers are nearly done, cut up some onions and add this to your frying pan allowing them to fry for about 2 minutes.  Once the onions are fried your burgers should be ready.
  2. Toasting your burger buns or baps is optional you should do this right before your onions are fried
  3. Once cooked place your sweet potato fries on your plate. Create your burger with your baps and beef burgers adding cheese, the fried onions or any filling you desire.
  4. Optional: add some ready-made coleslaw or any side dip to your meal for finishes touches!
