Prawn Fried Rice
Stir Fry
is a super easy meal to cook, and takes no time at all. Cook your stir fry with
some filling prawns or use some leftover chicken.
Cooking
Time: 20-25 minutes
Ingredients:

Peeled
King prawns
·
Black
pepper
·
Extra
hot sauce (optional)
·
Basmati
rice
·
¼
of an onion
·
1
red pepper segment
·
¼
of a carrot diced
·
Other
vegetables: peas, sweetcorn etc
·
Dark
soy a sauce
·
Salt
·
Olive
oil
Cooking
- Start by washing your Basmati rice, once washed and drained place into a pot with some salt water and allow your rice to cook. (Follow the instructions on the back of your rice packet for cooking times)
- Wash your king prawns and sprinkle black pepper and some optional hot sauce over it to make your prawns more spicy.
- In the meanwhile dice your onion, red pepper and carrots and be prepared to add this to your stir fry.
- Heat your pan with some olive oil, once heated add the prawns to your pan and allow it to fry for 10 minutes.
- Once your rice is cooked, drain and wash your rice with cold water separating it whilst you do this.
- Add your other stir fry vegetables and your chopped vegetables to your pan and allow them to cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add your rice to your pan and drizzle some soy a sauce over your rice and stir for a further 3-4 minutes. Your rice should be cooked after this time.
- Optional: boil some asparagus and add it as a side.
